A 16-hour introductory course for beginner interpreters and bilingual staff in human and social services, medical, and educational settings.

Who Will Benefit From This Certificate Program?
Interpreters who are new to the field and want to learn interpreting industry best practices but are not ready to invest in a 40-hour, 5-day course. This 16-hour introductory course is a great opportunity to learn with other interpreters but it is not a prerequisite for interpreter certification.
- Bilingual staff who are at times called to interpret

Purpose of This Course:
- Promote National Interpreter Code of Ethics
- Learn and reinforce the appropriate Standards of Practice for Interpreters
- Expand knowledge
- Get feedback and experience sharing with other interpreters
