Phone
Telephone Interpreting is when an interpreter is connected by phone with the client and an LEP individual or group. Typical scenarios for Telephone Interpreting include:- Employment Security Commission hearings;
- Health care provider appointment setting, follow up and reminder calls;
- Social Worker home visit scheduling and investigation; and
- Student Advisor calls to overseas parents of international students.
Telephone Interpreting is often the most appropriate solution when there is no time to wait for an On-site interpreter, when there is a need to communicate non-emergency information requiring only a few minutes, appointments when the LEP and provider are in different locations, and appointments for which there are no On-site resources available.
After setting up a Telephone Interpreting account with Choice Translating, you simply call your toll-free access number, enter your account code and the language you need, and you will be connected immediately to your interpreter, 24 hours a day, every day.
